Difference between Car Polish & Wax

POLISHING

1) Polish is a mildly abrasive substance which sands the surface of paint smooth and
allows it to shine.
2) Polishing is a process by which the top coat of paint is thinned, which means polishing a car removes a layer.
3) Polishing a car gives back the shine. The polish is mainly used for eliminating dirt and scratches from the surface.Polishing is only something you should do when the paint finish has become flat.
4) Polishing should have to be done once a year.

WAXING
1) Wax is called as a protective coat.
2) Waxing helps in protecting the polished surface from outside elements, which mean waxing adds a layer.
3)Waxing a car helps in resisting soot, water, dust and smoke It also helps in filtering the ultraviolet light. It also helps in blocking the color from fading. Waxing forms as a barrier between the metal and the exterior elements like oils and salts. This means it can delay oxidation.
4) Waxing should have to be done once in 6-months.
