1) Polish is a mildly abrasive substance which sands the surface of paint smooth and
allows it to shine.
2) Polishing is a process by which the top coat of paint is thinned, which means polishing a car removes a layer.
3) Polishing a car gives back the shine. The polish is mainly used for eliminating dirt and scratches from the surface.Polishing is only something you should do when the paint finish has become flat.

WAXING
1) Wax is called as a protective coat.
2) Waxing helps in protecting the polished surface from outside elements, which mean waxing adds a layer.
3)Waxing a car helps in resisting soot, water, dust and smoke It also helps in filtering the ultraviolet light. It also helps in blocking the color from fading. Waxing forms as a barrier between the metal and the exterior elements like oils and salts. This means it can delay oxidation.

Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) is Malaysia 's national petroleum company. Over the years, it has become a fully-integrated oil and gas corporation with operations in more than 30 countries worldwide. It is ranked among Fortune Global 500's largest corporations in the world. The company delivered another record performance for the fiscal year ended March, 2008. Its strong and diversified base of upstream assets gives the company a significant competitive advantage. However, price escalations and increasing competition could lead to lower operational growth and market share for the company also suffering from supply and production disruptions in its operations.

Strengths

Robust Revenue Growth

Petronas delivered a record revenue performance for the fiscal year ended March 2008. The company recorded highest-ever revenue at $66,215 million in the fiscal year 2008, an increase of 29.9% over 2007, driven by higher sales volume and average realized prices. The company's revenues from Malaysian and international operations increased 15.07% and 34.3% respectively in 2008, demonstrating its growing operational presence. The net profit was $20,002 million in the fiscal year 2008, an increase of 38.4% over 2007. Petronas also had a stronger balance sheet with assets totaling $106,039 million in the fiscal year 2008, an increase of 24.4% over 2007. The long term debt burden of the company decreased to $9,314 million in 2008, as compared to $9,418 million in 2007 and $9,860 million in 2006. Robust revenue growth will allow the company to pursue strategic capital investment opportunities in the future.

Diversified Operations

The company has vertically integrated operations along the energy value chain, both locally and globally. Its operations encompass the full spectrum of oil and gas operations, in the areas of oil and gas exploration and production to oil refining; marketing and trading of crude oil and refined products; gas processing and liquefaction; operation of gas transmission pipeline network and marketing of liquefied natural gas. The company also engages in petrochemical manufacturing and marketing, shipping and property investment. Weaknesses

Declined Upstream Assets

Petronas has strong upstream assets. The company's reserves position is strong in terms of capacity, replacement ratio and geographic diversity. At the end of the fiscal year 2008, the company's proved reserves totaled 26.37 billion boe as compared to 26.49 billion boe. The reserves replacement ratio (RRR) in 2008 was 0.9 times in Malaysia and 0.6 times internationally as compared to 1.4 and 3.2 times during 2007. Lack of proper reserve replacement as compared to the previous year could impact the company's plans of increasing its sales and maintaining a stable supply source.

Refinery Disruption

The company's overseas refinery in Durban , South Africa suffered disruption of operations during the fiscal 2008. The company's production from the plant declined by 9.1% owing to unplanned shutdowns as a result of fire. As a result the company's supply and distribution operations got affected. Disruption of operations resulted in financial losses and operational adjustments. The company also suffered similar loss by fire in its home country storage facility in 2006. Continuing disruption in operations by mishaps could lead to huge cumulative losses in the near future. It would not only affect the operations but also lengthen the sales cycles thereby reducing the profitability.

Opportunities

Increasing LNG Capacity

Petronas is aiming to build a global, integrated LNG business. After commencing operations in the previous year 2006, the company's share of production from the ELNG project increased from 1.2 million tons to 1.8 million tons during the year 2007. Currently, the company is involved in the debottlenecking of the MLNG Dua Plant in Malaysia , which will increase the combined production capacity of the Petronas LNG Complex by 1.2 million tons per annum to about 24 million tons per annum. The debottlenecking project is scheduled for completion in 2009. Further, the Dragon LNG receiving and regasification terminal in the U.K. is expected to be operational in 2008 and will provide the company with access to the U.K. and European gas markets and a home for future LNG cargoes.

The natural gas demand, driven by the demand for LNG and high fuel prices, is expected to grow significantly. Global consumption of natural gas is projected to increase by nearly 70 percent between 2002 and 2025, to reach 156 trillion cubic feet in 2025. During 2005-2010, demand for natural gas is expected to increase at 2-3% per annum. The company's focus on natural gas and LNG, makes it well positioned to tap opportunities in the growing LNG market worldwide.

Rising Demand for Oil and Natural Gas

The strong economic growth in the developing countries will drive global oil and natural gas demand. The overall global energy demand will grow about 1.6% annually to 2030. With the growing transportation sector, the demand for liquid fuels is expected to rise at a rate of 1.4% per year. Driven by increasing demand for electricity, natural gas demand is expected to increase by 1.7% annually to 2030.

The majority of demand is expected to be driven by emerging Asian market. Petronas is well positioned to take advantage of emerging growth opportunities worldwide. The company's assets are well configured to supply liquids demand growth in Asia which is estimated to be average 2% per annum in the region through 2030. The projected increase in demand for liquid fuels and natural gas in the coming years would help the company boost its sales and strengthen its financial base.

Growing Demand for Refined and Petrochemical Products in China

The demand for refined petroleum products and petrochemicals in China is expected to rise sharply in the coming decades. China , despite substantial additions to domestic refining capacity, is expected to remain a net importer of refined products. The petrochemical industry in China has been facing demand supply gap. The country's demand and supply for ethylene is expected to be 24 million tons and 15 million tons respectively in 2010, which indicate that domestic supply can meet around 62% of the domestic demand. With the auto market booming, China 's demand for gasoline is expected to increase from 52 million tons in 2006 to 65 million tons in 2010. A positive outlook for petrochemicals is encouraging multinationals and domestic companies to create new capacity in China .

Currently, the company is involved in plant rejuvenation and debottlenecking projects at its polyvinyl chloride (PVC), methanol and ethylene plants in Malaysia , which would result in increased production capacity of 10% to 20% within the next two years. The company's Mega Methanol Project in Labuan , with a planned capacity of 1.7 million tons per year, is set to strengthen the company's position as a major supplier of methanol. The company could leverage growing demand for refined products and petrochemicals in China to drive top-line growth.

Threats

Price Escalations

The fiscal year 2007 saw oil and gas companies globally operate in a highly challenging environment, as escalating costs overshadowed gains from high energy prices. Crude oil prices remained high during the fiscal year as global demand, particularly from the transportation sector, continued to increase on the back of strong economic growth, especially in China and India . Stronger demand, coupled with lack of refining capacity globally and OPEC crude production curtailment, pushed oil prices higher. The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and Brent crudes increased during the year 2008. The increased oil prices and demand spurred intensified industry activities and consequently drove up the company's upstream costs. The escalation in cost has already led to project delays and adversely impacted the safety, efficiency and quality of the company's operations. A continuing trend of cost escalation will also negatively affect the economic viability of the company's ongoing and planned projects, thereby pressurizing i
ts future earning capacity.

Stringent Laws and Regulations

The oil and gas industry is subject to various national, regional and local environmental laws and regulations, with regard to the exploration and production of oil and gas, petroleum and petrochemical products and other activities. According to these laws and regulations, in many regions, companies must file and get an approval for an environmental evaluation report prior to the commencement of exploration, production, refining and chemical projects. The companies must also restrict the type, quantities and concentration of various substances that can be released into the environment in connection with drilling and production activities. Further, environmental laws and regulations also limit or prohibit drilling activities within protected areas and certain other areas; and impose penalties for pollution resulting from oil, natural gas and petrochemical operations, including criminal and civil liabilities for serious pollution.

These laws and regulations also restrict air emissions and discharges to surface and subsurface water resulting from the operation of natural gas processing plants, chemical plants, refineries, pipeline systems and other facilities that the company owns. Petronas is also subject to laws and regulations relating to the generation, handling, storage, transportation, disposal and treatment of solid waste materials. Due to increasing importance given to environmental safety, it is possible for the environmental laws and regulations to become increasingly strict and rigid. In such a scenario, the company will have to incur heavy expenses in order to adhere to the industry norms in all the regions where it has operations.

Tips to reduce your car petrol consumption:

Use Air Conditioner sparingly. Air conditioners can use about 10 per cent extra fuel when operating and is a super drain on your engine's efficiency, so don't use it unless you really need it. If you're within one or two minutes of your destination, turn off the air conditioner and let the fan continue to circulate the cold air in the car. It won't become unreasonably warm in that length of time. And don't buy into the myth that it always takes as much gas to drive with the windows open as it does using the air conditioner. There is some disagreement on the subject, but most advice says that at low speeds and stop and go traffic, it costs less to drive with the windows down, but on the highway, using an air conditioner is cheaper.
Drive slow and steady. Drive between 45-55 kmph. The faster you drive, the more wind resistance your vehicle will face. If you speed above 60 kmph, you will waste your petrol. Tests have shown that you can get up to 40% extra mileage at 45-55 kmph as against 80 kmph. I know this will be frustrating to all our dear Malaysian drivers, but heck, isn’t this all about petrol saving tips? I'm not saying we should all travel around at 55km per hour, but if you reduce your speed by even a small amount the rewards are substantial.
Switch accessories before start. Switch off all power consuming accessories before switching on the ignition so as to minimize battery load during the next start.
Purchase and install strut tower and anti-sway bars. They increase control, which allows you to corner without loosing speed - which makes it easier on the brakes and requires less gas to accelerate.
Avoid Jack Rabbit Start. Eliminate jack rabbit starts (sudden acceleration from idle). It wastes fuel. Accelerate slowly when starting from dead stop. Don't push pedal down more than 1/4 of the total foot travel. This allows carburetor to function at peak efficiency. Roughly 1% in fuel economy is lost for every mile per hour driven above 55 mph.
Putting your car gear into neutral or park position. When sitting at a set of traffic lights or in traffic for an extended length of time, put your car into neutral or park. This can save a significant amount of fuel. Clutch and Accelerator play Don’t manipulate the clutch and accelerator to stay stationary because it wastes fuel. Use handbrake instead.
Shut your Windows. Shutting all your car windows while driving will make your car more aerodynamic. This will improve your car's fuel efficiency. Driving with them open drastically reduces your fuel efficiency, far more so than putting the air conditioning on when motorway driving. An open window can increase fuel consumption by up to 20 per cent. For a person who spends RM100 a week on petrol, 20% savings could mean saving RM20 a week, which adds up to RM80 a month. That is money one could pay towards his/her bond or be money saved for a rainy day.

UMUM mengetahui megapiksel merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang perlu dipertimbangkan sebelum membeli sebuah kamera digital. Namun hari ini, ia mungkin tidak lagi relevan.

Mungkin kenyataan ini agak mengelirukan kerana selama ini kebanyakan orang menganggap ia merupakan kriteria utama yang perlu diberi perhatian kerana ia merupakan penunjuk kemampuan menghasilkan gambar berkualiti sesebuah kamera digital. Benarkah megapiksel tidak lagi relevan pada hari ini? Teruskan membaca!

Megapiksel merupakan unit ukuran yang menentukan berapa banyak piksel atau elemen gambar yang boleh dimuatkan ke dalam sensor sesebuah kamera. Satu megapiksel bersamaan dengan 1 juta piksel.

Tahukah anda bahawa anda hanya memerlukan kamera dengan tiga megapiksel untuk mencetak gambar berukuran standard 4R? Untuk mencetak gambar bersaiz 8R pula, anda hanya memerlukan sebanyak 8 megapiksel. Sekiranya kamera anda mempunyai megapiksel yang tidak mencukupi dan anda cuba untuk mencetak gambar berukuran besar, kualiti cetakannya tidak akan menarik iaitu gambar akan kelihatan sedikit kabur.

Industri fotografi digital hari ini yang memperlihatkan persaingan hebat di antara pengeluar kamera gergasi telah menyebabkan peningkatan megapiksel pada kamera kompak dan tidak lagi hanya tertumpu pada kamera prosumer mahupun DSLR.

Kebanyakan kamera kompak hari ini mempunyai sekurang-kurangnya 8-Megapiksel. Dalam persaingan digital ini, Canon telah memperkenalkan produk 'cili padi' mereka yang mencecah 14.7 megapiksel, sesuatu yang tidak pernah terlintas di kotak fikiran kita lima tahun yang lalu!.

Oleh itu, apabila memilih kamera kompak yang mana untuk dimiliki, megapiksel bukanlah sesuatu yang perlu terlalu dititikberatkan. Apa yang perlu diberikan keutamaan hari ini ialah saiz sensor sesebuah kamera. Semakin besar sensor sesebuah kamera itu, semakin baik kualiti gambar yang mampu dihasilkan.

Semakin besar sensor bermakna semakin banyak cahaya dan semakin banyak cahaya dapat diambil oleh sesebuah kamera, semakin baik warna dan kontrasnya. Dengan sensor bersaiz besar, gambar yang diambil di dalam bangunan tanpa lampu limpah (flash) akan kelihatan lebih berkualiti berbanding kamera yang mempunyai sensor yang lebih kecil.

Malangnya, kamera kompak tidak mampu memuatkan sensor yang besar kerana ia perlu kekal kecil, padat dan mudah dibawa. Saiz sensor pada kamera kompak boleh menjadi lebih kecil daripada kuku jari kelingking manusia.

Ini adalah penyebab utama mengapa kamera kompak sukar menghasilkan gambar yang berkualiti dalam keadaan yang kurang cahaya tanpa penggunaan flash. Bagi mengetahui saiz sensor sesebuah kamera, anda boleh memeriksa butiran pada manual kamera. Ia lazimnya dirujuk sebagai CMOS, CCD, elemen pengimejan atau sensor imej, tetapi tidak boleh lari dengan bacaan ukuran seperti 1/2.7 inci, yang merujuk kepada saiz sensornya.

Sebagai perbandingan, kamera Digital SLR profesional mempunyai sensor yang besarnya sehingga 30 kali ganda berbanding kamera kompak. Tidak hairanlah saiznya juga jauh lebih besar berbanding kamera biasa.

Ironinya, kaedah penyelesaian bagi mempertingkatkan kualiti foto pada kamera kompak ialah dengan cara mengurangkan bilangan megapikselnya. Dengan bilangan megapiksel yang kurang bermakna setiap piksel di dalam sensor kini boleh mendapat lebih cahaya sekali gus meningkatkan kualiti gambar.

Namun ini tidak bererti industri kamera digital akan menghentikan perlumbaan megapiksel ini. Seperti mana pengguna menilai prestasi sesebuah komputer berdasarkan Gigahertz (GHz), membandingkan megapiksel merupakan kaedah termudah untuk si penjual membandingkan kemampuan kamera mereka dengan kamera pengeluar lain.

Untuk menyedarkan pengguna akan kenyataan ini bukanlah sesuatu yang mudah. Ia memerlukan usaha, masa dan wang ringgit. Hakikatnya, inilah kebenaran di sebalik mitos megapiksel.

Malaysia's Best Companies List

In late 2005, while working with one recruitment agency, me and a number of colleagues embarked on a research to list what we called the Best Companies to Work in Malaysia. The methodology involved a combination of studies covering the company size, their listing in Fortunes, their presence in Best Employers Award recipient list as well as our own finding when interviewing candidates. Perhaps because this is the first of its kind, the list got an undue attention.

There have been tremendous responses and feedback received regarding the list; the good, the bad, and the questions. Some web forumers even concluded that SKOR Career website got paid and involved in a conspiracy with some companies so that certain companies topped the list and some companies would not make it. In truth, no single cent was involved in the work. So much for a conspiracy theory. Last May when a Nanyang Siang Pau reporter contacted me to make a cover story about the list, I had to turn down with the reason that the list may not be accurate to be officially published.

But not to disappoint visitors who are yet to see it; here’s the list of the Malaysia Best Companies List for you view.

30 True Things You Need to Know Now

1. If the map doesn't agree with the ground, the map is wrong. We are given mental maps as children. Our parents and other adults tell us what is right and what is wrong – sometimes they don't always get it, well, right. Now as adults, when we find the maps we have relied on for so long can get us lost, we need to recalibrate and create more reliable guides based on what we now know to be true and where we want to go.

2. We are what we do. We are not what we think, or what we feel, or what we say, we are what we do. Actions do indeed speak louder than words. If you are unhappy with a particular part of your life, take a strong look at what you are doing to be happier.

3. It is difficult to remove by logic an idea not placed there by logic in the first place. By nature, we are emotional creatures. Often we live and react based on feelings, not logic. Feelings are wonderful, but when we become tied to a particular thought or belief we tend to ignore the fact that change might be necessary. If a negative behavior is driven by an emotion, then we must find a way to still satisfy the emotional need while putting an end to the destructive behavior.

4. The statute of limitations has expired on most of our childhood traumas. For some, childhood was pleasant, almost idyllic. But for others, when there has been serious physical, sexual or emotional abuse it is important to recognize this and process this with a trained professional. No matter your past, change is the essence of life. In order to move forward in life we need to learn to live in the present.

5. Any relationship is under the control of the person who cares the least. When relationships end it is typically because of unmet expectations or one person is not feeling love or cherished by the other. For relationships to grow and last both members have to be equal with the love they give; and both should do it, not because they think they have to do it, but because they want to do it.

6. Feelings follow behavior. No matter how hard we try, we don't control what we think or what we feel. But, we do know which actions bring us happiness, pleasure and confidence. So, we do the actions that make us feel good. It is the action, the behavior that comes first. Take the next few days to notice how you feel after doing a particular behavior. If you like the feeling, do more of it. If not, change the behavior.

7. Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid. When we step out and claim what we want from the world a wonderful thing happens – the Universe responds.

8. The perfect is the enemy of the good. While it's important to have control over our lives, it can be counterproductive to attempt to control our lives. The energy spent trying to be perfect can keep us from enjoying and appreciating all the good things that exist right before us.

9. Life's two most important questions are "Why?" and "Why not?" The trick is knowing which one to ask. Understanding why we do certain things is the first step to change. Until we understand what motivates us, what we get from doing a particular behavior, there is no momentum to begin the change process. Likewise, by asking "Why not?" we begin assessing the risk versus reward aspect which can lead to bringing about productive change in our lives.

10. Our greatest strengths are our greatest weaknesses. One of my biggest strengths as a person is I'm caring, sensitive and emotional – it is also my greatest weakness. While this strength helps me to build and maintain healthy relationships, it can also make me too reactive and less effective when dealing with conflict. This can create a confusing paradox for me from time-to-time, but having the awareness of the thin line between the two better prepares me to either use my strength or be mindful of my weakness.

11. The most secure prisons are those we construct for ourselves. What is your fear of change costing you? Too often what keeps us stuck is the belief we can't move forward. Our head-trash tells us we are not worthy to have our heart's desire. This fear; this incarceration, prevents us from breaking free and having the life we desire. Remember this: Before you can do anything, you must be able to imagine it. Imagining who and what you want to be, and then taking action, is the key to begin freeing yourself of what is holding you back.

12. The problems of the elderly are frequently serious but seldom interesting. The thought of our own mortality and demise can be a frightening one. Therefore, our attitude towards the aging can be callous because they are unwanted reminders of what's ahead for us. However, the elderly can hold great value and wisdom for us. We must remember to show respect and gratitude for those near the end so the cycle can be repeated when it is our turn.

13. Happiness is the ultimate risk. No matter how painful, sometimes what we know is more comfortable than what we don't know, even if we are depressed and miserable. Our misery can feel safe because it has been a part of us for so long. To seek happiness, to do things to break free of the depression, is a risk because we don't know what it looks like or feels like to be happy. The antidote for this is hope and faith.

14. True love is the apple of Eden. "When I look back, the Garden is a dream to me. It was beautiful, surpassingly beautiful, enchantingly beautiful; and now it is lost, and I shall never see it any more. The Garden is lost, but I have found him and am content. - from Mark Twain in Eve's Diary. True love is fair compensation for the obstacles and burdens of being human.

15. Only bad things happen quickly. When we think about the things that can change our lives in an instant we usually think of the negative ones first: accidents, our employer going out of business, or the news of a loved one becoming seriously ill. There is plenty of room; however, for good things to happen too, we just have to be more patient. Losing weight, improving a relationship, or creating a rewarding career all take effort, but the life-long satisfaction these bring can help to fill our souls when they are emptied-out by the bad.

16. Not all who wander are lost. When we were children we were told what to do. In our jobs, we are assigned tasks and projects. Our culture even has expectations of what we should do. It's OK to step outside of the lines in order to follow what your inner wisdom is suggesting you do with your life. It's not that you are lost when you wander, it's just the opposite: You know what you want and you are only attempting to find the best path to your destination.

17. Unrequited love is painful but not romantic. Love is meant to be shared. When you give your heart to someone who is uninterested, it will only result in loneliness and disappointment. Instead find someone who will share love with you. When you do, you will feel the real power of love.

18. There is nothing more pointless, or common, than doing the same things and expecting different results. This truth also provides a very good definition for insanity. When things are not working in your life, try different things. The rub comes when we become so comfortable with the familiar we refuse to try something new. To grow we must also embrace change. The question then becomes what level of fear you are willing to walk through in order to change, grow and create the life you want.

19. We flee from the truth in vain. Somewhere along the way there are truths about ourselves we never allow to see the light of day. Shame, guilt or embarrassment keeps these truths hidden and locked away. But remember, we cannot change or heal what we do not acknowledge.

20. It's a poor idea to lie to oneself. We may say the words, the words of a lie, but inside we know better; we know the truth. The most damaging lie we can tell ourselves involves making a promise. While good intentions are important, living the truth has far greater value in our life. Do what you say you are going to do, not just to improve the quality of your life, but to be able to live your life with confidence and self-respect.

21. We are all prone to the myth of the perfect stranger. Unless you are being victimized by your partner, chances are very good there are plenty of reasons to love your partner or spouse. It takes maturity, patience and trust to look across the fence and know your grass is greener.

22. Love is never lost, not even in death. To lose what means the most to us is the ultimate test of helplessness and survival. I have been very fortunate to not yet experience the death of a close relative. That day, however, will come. When it does, my hope is I can transfer all of the love I have for that person to others still with me. In that way, the love for the person lost will always be alive.

23. Nobody likes to be told what to do. As a parent it's easy for me to sometimes tell one of my children what to do instead of just listen and offer advice, if requested. My need to control can trump their need to be heard and grow on their own. When this happens, communication is strained and trust can be eroded. Rather than telling my children what to do, my job as a parent is to give them hope that they can be successful in a very uncertain world. This can be achieved by limiting my lectures and by giving them the time and space to "figure it out," while I'm standing by with a safety net.

24. The major advantage of illness is that it provides relief from responsibility. In an ironic twist, the days we feel under the weather can be some of the healthiest for us. We push, we rush and we often don't take time to take care of ourselves. But when we are feeling ill, we are forced to to slow down, perhaps call in sick at work, and take it easy.

25. We are afraid of the wrong things. For the first 18 years of my marriage I feared the wrong things. I feared not earning enough money or not advancing quickly enough in my career. I should have feared losing my wife and family instead, because I almost did. Now, I try to live in the present moment and appreciate all I have. When I do this, I stay centered with hope and not distracted by fear.

26. Parents have a limited ability to shape children's behavior, except for the worse. My wife and I often hope our greatest legacy to our children is to be able to break the cycle of pain and doubt we experienced as children. Our hope is our children will have the self-love and confidence needed to live a rich and full life. With that said, we are far from being perfect parents. But our focus is to help them be as happy as possible in a world that takes and demands so much of them.

27. The only real paradises are those we have lost. Too often we may view the past with a special fondness, perhaps reverence, too. But the past for most of us may be no different than the present, it just feels that way. To be honest, we may not always see the past for what it actually was. This view can be dangerous and it can keep us from living fully in the present, in the here and now.

28. Of all the forms of courage, the ability to laugh is the most profoundly therapeutic. Yes, things can go wrong in life. Yes, there are issues and problems to solve. But we have a choice. We can choose to become pessimistic and not see the value in what we experience, or we can choose to laugh as an admission to the fact we are not perfect and life can get the best of us at times. What a relief to know that no matter how bad things may look, a smile or a rift of laughter can begin to make the circumstances feel better.

29. Mental health requires freedom of choice. No matter how bleak or desperate a situation my appear to look, we always have choices. Even with the absence of answers or direction, we do have the power to choose what our next action is. We can choose to ask for help; we can choose to pray; we can choose to get up in the morning, get dressed and forge ahead. The ability to choose gives us power. We can use that power to begin removing the obstacles that confront us.

30. Forgiveness is a form of letting go, but they are not the same thing. To be clear, the purpose of forgiveness is not to let the person who harmed you off the hook, the purpose of forgiveness is to end the grief it has cost you. Don't just let go, forgive and truly surrender the feelings of anger and pain. This may seem difficult, almost impossible, until you attempt to do it.

BOT keselamatan inilah yang digunakan pekerja pelantar untuk insiden seperti pelantar tumbang, terbakar dan sebagainya.

Anda berada di dalam bangunan 20 tingkat di tempat anda bekerja. Tiba-tiba anda terdengar siren amaran yang menandakan adanya kecemasan.

Beberapa saat kemudian anda melihat asap menyusup masuk melalui celah pintu dan mula menyelubungi ruang siling pejabat. Ini adalah Tanda Minit Kedua kebakaran.

Pada peringkat ini api sudah sampai ke siling dan kadar radiasi haba mencecah sehingga 400 darjah Celcius. Kesemua pintu keluar sudah tersekat dengan haba radiasi. Apa yang perlu atau tidak lakukan dalam keadaan sebegini?

Dalam segi tiga berkenaan, tiga faktor utama yang terlibat ialah oksigen, haba dan bahan api. Pengeluaran salah satu daripada ketiga-tiga faktor ini akan melumpuhkan pembentukan api dan sekali gus menghentikan kebakaran.

Ini menjelaskan mengapa ada empat cara memadam api yang dipraktikkan dalam kehidupan seharian. Hakikatnya, perbezaan itu lahir kerana ketiga-tiga faktor tadi.

Satu lagi versi bot keselamatan yang dilengkapi sistem apungan berteknologi tinggi yang dibekalkan kepada pekerja pelantar.

Haba dapat dikeluarkan dengan menggunakan air, bahan api pula dikeluarkan sama ada dengan mengasingkannya, menghentikan bekalan atau membuangnya.

Manakala oksigen dapat dihalang daripada melengkapkan segi tiga berkenaan dengan menyeliputi kebakaran menggunakan penutup, selimut atau melemahkannya dengan mencairkannya.

Kesedaran keselamatan terhadap kebakaran hanyalah salah satu daripada 54 subjek keselamatan yang cuba diberi pendedahan oleh TSTC.

Antara lain subjek yang menyebabkan pusat latihan ini mendapat perhatian dunia ialah keupayaannya membekalkan latihan Helicopter Underwater Escape (HUET), orientasi keselamatan di kawasan perairan, asas survival keselamatan individu di laut, pasukan kawalan keselamatan dan banyak lagi.

Ia juga memenuhi keperluan syarikat yang menawarkan pekerjaan berisiko tinggi.

Mungkin kerana silibus pengajaran yang mendalam dan spesifik, TSTC berjaya menyenaraikan klien dari Nigeria, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, Filipina, China, Afrika Barat dan Singapura.

Klien TSTC bermula daripada badan kerajaan seperti Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM), Jabatan Bomba dan Keselamatan Malaysia, Bank Negara hinggalah kepada badan gergasi termasuklah Petronas Cargali, ExxonMobil, dan Saudi International Petrochemical Company.

CARA terbaik menangani satu-satu kebakaran ialah melakukannya dari luar bangunan yang terbakar.

"Pekerja pelantar minyak terdedah kepada risiko keselamatan hampir pada setiap masa. Sama ada kerja mereka ialah mengorek bumi, menguji telaga minyak, melakukan kimpalan atau pemasangan wayar di dasar laut, dan sebagainya.

"Malah mereka mula terdedah kepada bahaya sebelum mereka sampai ke pelantar lagi."

Menaiki helikopter, menurut Rosni, adalah satu lagi senario yang sering mengundang kerisauan.

"Kes helikopter terhempas sudah banyak yang kita dengar berlaku di negara kita sendiri. Satu daripadanya ialah kes yang melibatkan helikopter Super Puma L2 yang dalam perjalanan ke pelantar minyak pada Januari 2007.

"Kalau pelantar itu di tengah laut, contohnya, latihan memindahkan pekerja dari bot ke pelantar perlu mengambil kira pergerakan ombak, kelajuan angin, perubahan cuaca dan ketinggian pelantar dari paras laut.

"Persediaan seperti jaket keselamatan dan sistem pernafasan kecemasan perlu dilakukan pada setiap sama.

"Di sana, angin monsun di negara kita adalah cuaca terbaik mereka," jelas Rosni yang menambah cuaca bukan dalam kawalan sesiapa.

Melawat tapak latihan yang seluas empat hektar di Kawasan Perindustrian Teluk Kalong, Kemaman, beberapa bangunan dilihat bertompok memenuhi landskap.

Blok pentadbiran dan pengajaran yang dilengkapi dengan kolam renang, platform untuk melompat, takal untuk menarik helikopter, simulator helikopter untuk HUET, kawasan latihan kebakaran yang ekstensif, kawasan latihan kemahiran keselamatan untuk perancah, dan operator takal.

Malah latihan kebakaran secara langsung meraih jolokan latihan simulator kebakaran terbaik di Asia Tenggara kerana ia dapat memberikan senario kebakaran yang paling hampir dengan realiti.

"Susah untuk memberi senario paling hampir dengan realiti bagi keadaan paling buruk yang mungkin berlaku kerana ia dipengaruhi banyak aspek yang berada di luar kawalan manusia," kata Mohd Rosni.

Pendek kata dengan kelahiran TSTC, kita tidak perlu lagi mencari pusat latihan yang dapat memberi persediaan yang cukup untuk menghantar rakyat negara ini bekerja dalam bidang yang selama ini seperti mustahil untuk diceburi.

Biarpun sesukar mana pekerjaan yang ditawarkan di seberang laut, dengan pusat latihan yang lengkap dan berteknologi tinggi, Malaysia dapat menyediakan tenaga untuk sebarang pekerjaan.

UPGRADE SYSTEM FROM BOYFRIEND TO HUSBAND

Dear IT Support ,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower, gifts and jewellery applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as Formula One 5.0, Golf 3.0 and World Cup 2.0.

And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.
I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Dear Desperate Housewife,
First keep in mind:
Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0.

If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night Teh Tarik 6.1.

Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.wav files.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program.
These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0 .

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.

You might consider additional software to improve memory and performance.
I personally recommend Hot Tasty Food 3.0 and Tongkat Ali 6.9.

It's not the fault of student if he/she fails because the year ONLY has 365 days...
typical academic year for a student:

1. Sundays - 52 Sundays in a year, you know Sundays are for rest.
Days left 313.

2. Summer holidays - 50 where weather is very hot and difficult to study.
Days left 263.

3. 8 hours daily sleep - 130 days GONE.
Days left 141.

4. 1 hour for daily playing- (good for health) means 15 days.
Days left 126.

5. 2 hours daily for food & other delicacies (chewing properly & swallowing) - means 30 days.
Days left 96.

6. 1 hour for talking (man is a social animal) - means 15 days.
Days left 81.

7. Exam days - per year at least 35 days.
Days left 46.

8. Quarterly, half yearly and festival (holidays) - 40 days.
Days left 6.

9. For sickness - at least 3 days.
Days left 3.

10. Movies and functions- at least 2 days.
1 day left.

11. That 1 day is your birthday.
How can you study on that day ?!?!?!?!?!
